Source: AfricanColours - Your Guide To Contemporary African Art, November 24, 2011/Author: Stephen Garan'anga
Lovemore Kambudzi, an honourary graduate of Zimbabwe's famous BAT Studios of Fine of Art of the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in the 1990's has emerged to be one of the most successful painters since independence in 1980.
The reserved soft spoken artist who rarely appears at public gatherings has never been hesitant to speak out his mind through his work even on issues that are sometimes considered to be extremely sensitive by mighty forces.
Lovemore's successful satirical way of panting on massive canvases, intricacies of each and every subject with the usage of unforgiving timid brush strokes and the controlled use of colour strongly makes his work an instant hit in most parts of the world it has been exposed to.
His work has been used on book jackets both nationally and internationally, published in magazines around the world from New Zealand to the Czech Republic, from South Africa to Germany ...

Article Title: FOOD AND TRAVEL: IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR … AT DA EROS!
Source: ZIMBABWE INDEPENDENT - The Leading Business Weekly, March 11, 2011, 11:55 a.m./Author: Dusty Miller
SADLY, my family is 10 000km away, still braving the British cold which descended on them (just before I did!) in mid-November.
When, or if, they return to Ha-ha-ha-rare (Africa’s fun capital), top of the list for a rattling good Sunday lunch with loads of laughs will be Da Eros Trattoria, opened late last year by the Italian-Ethiopian Prandini family, who used to run the now empty, forlorn Italian Bakery, of fond memory, at Avondale ...
... Dr. Marie Imbrova, who used to be with the Czech embassy here, but now roams the globe promoting Zimbabwe art, joined me at this stage, but would consume only cappuccino ...
